NASA Climate Kids
My Role: Lead Web Developer
I served as the lead web developer for NASA Climate Kids for over a decade, modernizing the website over the course of several redesigns and keeping the underlying code up to date.
My work primarily consisted of the following:
- Designed and implemented web games
- Created interactive web features
- Led SEO efforts
- Created analytics reports
- Upkept and added CMS functionality
- Served as an administrator
- Onboarded developers and editors
Near the end of my time at NASA JPL, I migrated all NASA Climate Kids content to NASA Kids Science as part of an agency-wide web consolidation effort. Because of this, climatekids.nasa.gov no longer exists, but you can check out an archived version here. All NASA Climate Kids content can now be found at science.nasa.gov/kids/earth.
